More than 1,200 business leaders, policymakers, institutional representatives and military officials gathered in Giverny this year to discuss some of the major challenges facing businesses and governments today.
Digital and energy sovereignty, critical infrastructure protection, defence, climate adaptation, sustainable water management and the future of cities and territories may appear to be separate issues. In reality, they are becoming increasingly interconnected.
This broader perspective is precisely what makes events such as the World Giverny Forum valuable to SEMIP – CODECHAMP.
We operate in demanding, strategic sectors including defence, space and aerospace. These markets are directly affected by changes in industrial policy, technological sovereignty, supply chain security and increasingly stringent environmental requirements.

Discussions at the World Giverny Forum also highlighted the key role that businesses and industry have to play in addressing these challenges.
This year, the Cercle de Giverny working groups presented 30 new proposals for more sustainable businesses to the French Prime Minister and members of the Government attending the event. The next step will be to bring these proposals to French and European institutions.
This initiative reflects a belief we share at SEMIP – CODECHAMP: strengthening sovereignty and resilience also requires maintaining and developing industrial and technological capabilities in France and across Europe.
We contribute to this effort by designing and manufacturing high-precision potentiometers and optical encoders in France for applications where reliability, accuracy and technological expertise are critical.
