Eiréné, a fund dedicated to supporting SMEs and mid-sized companies in the security and defense sector, has made its first investment in the Semip-Codechamp group to support its next phase of growth. Eiréné is partnering with the group as a majority shareholder, alongside the management team, which is making a significant reinvestment in the transaction.
Founded in 1960, the Semip-Codechamp Group, led by Serge Finkelstein, is a leading player in the field of high-performance angular position sensors, serving the most demanding markets: defense, aerospace, civil nuclear, and motorsports. The group, which places innovation at the heart of its strategy, employs around sixty people, a quarter of whom work in the design office and R&D.
The group’s development, which targets prestigious clients, has been built on unique expertise, a capacity for innovation, and products recognized for their excellence and unparalleled performance in Europe.
Weinberg Capital Partners’ investment in Semip-Codechamp will accelerate the development and structuring of this innovative group, support its growth ambitions in its established markets as well as in new markets (civilian and international), and initiate a strategy of external growth.
The significant reinvestment by management alongside Weinberg Capital Partners demonstrates their strong belief in the group’s growth potential.
This primary transaction, the first for the Eiréné fund, is central to Weinberg Capital Partners’ expertise: supporting and structuring a group to accelerate its development through both organic and external growth.
The transaction closed on July 12, 2023.
